WHY CAN'T WE ALL BE GREY?

There was once a time where the economy was riddled with slavery and greed. Black slaves where dominated by white lords and the constant struggle for negroes to survive was painful and cruel. Not much has changed you might say, well, in theory no - it hasn't - barriers in social and ethnic groups still exist, but as time goes on situations change. And not always for the better.

Now I told you I would take you to places seldom visited and this is my first stop - racism.

So I am not about to hold anything back. That would be defeating the point. I am about to crucify myself so that others will think in the future. Xian gains nothing.

I would therefore like to start with cultural influences, tell me, when a white man takes it upon himself to say "Nigger" in the presence of a black man this is considered racist, yes?

If that is the case, then answer me this, if a black man is to say the word "Nigger" in a sentence does this win him respect?

Can a single person explain to me how the state of Hip-Hop and black influenced music can justify the use of the word "Nigger" in an openly available track? Our children, our racists and our afro american brothers are subjected to this every day. Tell me friends, if we want racism to end so badly then why do we constantly toss fuel onto the already raging fire?

Now here's the clincher, I hear a negro complaining about racism, I hear him cuss a white man and vent his hatred out in the open street, and then I hear a black MC from the comfort of his studio aggrevating the issue further to make money for a comfortable living.

Ok, so we have an argument here, picture it, racism is writhe. Young black children are suffering racism becuase this is the way society is taking us. Yet record labels will pay a black artist to promote racism just to put food on the table and make a living in life. A good living? What kind of good living offers you a vest and an armoured car for a guardian angel?

I can still see white gangs commiting hate crimes against the black community becuase they feel they are superior. YOU'RE NOT. I want people all over the world right now to stop and THINK. What the hell are you doing? People die every day becuase of mindless violence which is raciall motivated. Stop embaressing yourselves.

I want an end to racism, but this will never happen becuase the barriers will always be there... unless of course the people with real power step up to the plate and voice an opinion. But I am not talking about governments and authorities either, that has been tried before - it's not effective. An opinion voiced by a grand manipulator or a self-obsessed dictator is an opinion best not voiced at all. The people want to listen to who they really trust, someone they can relate to personally and follow with loyalty. Someone with street rep - the soldiers who laid an example by making in the struggle as a minority - the artists we know and love.

This isn't a plea - this is a gospel.

Why can't someone speak out and finally tell it how it is? or better yet - why can't we all just be grey?
